khahar, can you tell me more about these "roma" women, some of those sisters are certainly of color. are they gypsy ancestry? awesome
they are "gypsy" but the term is derogatory and inaccurate. Which is why Roma (Romany) is used. The Romany peoples (those who settled in Europe) and the Dom peoples (those who settled in Mid East) have a long and horrible history of oppression; and their nomadic ancestry stems in India. You should check out Tony Gatlif's movies such as Latcho Drom, Gadjo Dilo and Exils...and there are some good documentaries out there.
