I feel exactly the same now my girlfriend has started a lesbian erotic writers' class and will be presenting her work on stage to an audience!

yeah this piece is a conglomeration of various conversations I've had with lovers or friends who have told me about their own situations.
though i've never explicitly written about a person, there's elements of people in my life that come through in the characters of my stories. poems are more difficult because they are often inspired by/or specficially about individuals i know. i keep details out and focus on the sentiment. but that's how I write my poems. Someone else may not.
discretion and respect is important to me. i try to be aware of that in the writing process.
hope you doing ok with being exposed, so to speak!
